Terms & Conditions
Please read through this section carefully.
By commissioning an artwork you will be agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Pricing
All prices are based on a single head and shoulders style portrait and exclude delivery. Additional subjects or added complexity will be quoted on an individual basis.
Photographs
The reference photographs you supply must be your own.
If the photo’s were not taken by you, please let me have the photographers contact information so I may obtain permission from them directly.
The photo’s can not be from a professional photographer unless you have their express permission to use their photographs as reference.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required upon booking your commission to cover material costs and reserve your place.
In the event the artist is unable to complete the work due to an unavoidable change in their circumstances the deposit will be refunded.
Balance
The remainder of the balance is due only when you are satisfied with the completed artwork.
Clients are to pay the final balance within one week of the notification of completion.
The artwork will be dispatched upon receipt of the full balance.
Delivery
P&P within the UK is as follows:
£5 for A5 sketches via Royal Mail Tracked 24 in a stay flat mailer.
£15 for A4 & A3 drawings via Royal Mail Tracked 24 in a cardboard box.
Highlands, Islands and overseas addresses will be quoted on an individual basis.
The client is responsible for any import duty or taxes to be paid.
Cancellation
In the unlikely event the piece is no longer wanted or required the artist reserves the right to retain the deposit.
If the client is not satisfied with the completed commission, they will not be asked for the remainder of the balance, however the artist will retain the deposit, artwork and the rights to use or sell the artwork.
Copyright
The copyright of the finished artwork remains with the artist.
The finished artwork may be used by the client for display and personal enjoyment only.
No prints or copies shall be made, or profit gained in any way from the finished artwork by the client without the express written permission of the artist.
The artist retains the right to use images of the artwork for advertising purposes.
